Mission
Our mission is to promote people’s freedom in tourism, while pursuing human happiness. We empower travelers to make their own choices and create their own unique travel experiences, while also promoting responsible and sustainable tourism practices that support the well-being of both travelers and the communities they visit. By providing accurate and comprehensive information, flexible travel options, and unparalleled customer service, we aim to create a travel experience that promotes people’s freedom, fosters human happiness, and inspires a deeper appreciation for the world around us.
We encourage visitors to discover Hawaii directly from the local community and take the aloha spirit back with them in their hearts.
History
“Where Academic Insight Meets the Spirit of Aloha”
The foundation of Wildlife Hawaii is built on a decade of professional expertise in Urban Studies and Sustainable Tourism. My journey includes conducting tourism assessments at World Heritage sites like Miyajima, managing government-sponsored NPO initiatives, and organizing international peacebuilding conferences for Hiroshima University. Since 2011, we have integrated this academic rigor with a passion for discovery to redefine travel in Hawaii.
It’s all about Love & Peace & Aloha.
Beyond physical tours, I am committed to building modern communities through digital creativity. By blending AI-driven innovation and music production with our state-of-the-art 2026 fleet, I aim to offer a travel experience that is as forward-thinking as it is deeply rooted in local tradition
Masahito Sasaki | Founder of Wildlife Hawaii
Specialist in Sustainable Urbanism & Tourism
Originally from Hiroshima and currently based in Honolulu, Masahito integrates his deep academic background in Urban and Regional Policy with his life as a local entrepreneur. Since founding Wildlife Hawaii in 2011, he has pioneered a “Research-based Tourism” model that bridges theoretical frameworks with community-based practices.
His professional trajectory is defined by a unique intersection of technical, academic, and practical expertise:
- Academic & Research Rigor: Holds a Master’s degree in Urban and Regional Policy. Served as a Research Assistant in Regional Conflict and Peacebuilding, contributing to international academic projects.
- Technical & Engineering Insight: Gained foundational technical knowledge as an Engineer Assistant in a civil engineering consultancy, providing him with a structured understanding of urban infrastructure.
- Project Management & Community Leadership: Directed government-sponsored non-profit initiatives and served as a Project Manager for urban planning NPOs, specializing in community resilience and tourism assessments for World Heritage sites like Miyajima.
Masahito blends these high-level insights with modern innovation—utilizing a state-of-the-art 2026 fleet and exploring digital frontiers in AI, music production, and e-commerce through his Etsy shop, WildlifeHawaiiDesign. On this blog, he offers unique, evidence-based insights into the intersection of sustainability, Hawaiian culture, and urban design, inviting readers to explore the “Engineered Reality” of paradise.
